Other World Computing(OWC) announced the launch of its 480GB Mercury Aura Pro solid state drive for the 15-inch Retina mac-book Pro this year.It's $580 price tag compared to Apple's $500 charge to boost the standard 256GB drive to 512GB drive,OWC has now announced that it has certified this Mercury Auro Pro drive for use in the 13-inch Retina Mac-book Pro.

Myst linking Book Replica goes on sale with with full PC inside
Myst is a graphic adventure video game designed and directed by the brothers Robyn and Rand Miller.It was developed by the cyan.Myst puts the player in the role of the stranger,who uses a special book to travel to the island of Myst.
Myst enthusiast Mike Ando's created a full fledged linking book complete with an encased,working computer playing the entirely of the legendary adventure franchise on a display iconically embedded within its pages.
Inside the book is a full,hand assembled desktop computer.The space inside is tiny,nearly half the size of a netbook,It's a 3-dimensional electronics version of Tetris this is what it looks like with both the motherboard & battery removed,plus with everything installed.

-The screen is a 640x480 5.0 LED back-lit display.This provides 1:1 native pixel mapping on the original versions of Myst,Riven & Exile.There's a matching 4-wire resistive glass touch screen overlaid on top as the main input method,which updates at 160 samples/second with a touch resolution of 2048x2048.
-The power supply is a 3-cell Lithium ion battery capable of outputting 60A of current.The power supply converts its voltage to the 12V & 5V required by the computer.power consumption is around 12 watts & the battery life is around 1.5 to 2 hours.
-The CPU is an intel Z530p running at 1.6GHz,and the GPU is an intel GMA500 chipset capable of running DirectX 9.0C graphics.The system has 1GB of RAM.

AUO's4.46 inch display with world's narrowest border.
AU Optronics was originally called up to Acer Display Technology was established in August 1996, was renamed in 2001,combined with Unipac optoelectronics.AU Optronics announced a new 4.46 inch mobile phone touch panel display which claims to be the world's narrowest border.The display uses proprietary technology allowing for incredibily thin borders and uses low temperature poly-silicon (LTPS) technology.The 4.46 inch display has a 720p resolution and 1mm thick bezel maximizes the display area.AUO is also bragging on its display technologies including AMOLED,IGZO and AHVA.AHVA is Advanced Hyper Viewing Angle.The 4.46 display has a resolution of 1080x1920 with 443ppi.

Joli OS
Joli OS is an Ubuntu based GNU/Linux operating system developed by the french company Jolicloud.The operating system was itself called "Jolicloud" until version 1.2,when the company renamed it "Joli OS". Joli OS is now an open source project,with source code hosted on GitHub.Joli OS was at the beginning built on top of Ubuntu Netbook Edition,was tweaked for netbooks and other computers with limited disk storage,memory and screen size.Joli OS is now built on top of Ubuntu with a customized kernel.Joli OS was designed for easy installation,with Wi-Fi,Bluetooth and 3G modem.The operating system supports all major netbooks,including models from Asus, Acer,Dell,HP, MSI,Samsung and Sony.Jolicloud claims OS supports 98% of netbooks with out of box compatibility but also works on a very large number of other devices,up to 10 years old laptops,desktops,and Tablets.
Version 1.0 of the operating system incorporates a user interface built primarily with HTML5 that includes an application launcher.The launcher displays only those applications supported inthe library,but the identical configuartion can be viewed from any machine running Joli-OS.Jolicloud's HTML5 implementation is through the chromium web browser,which serves as middleware for web rendering.
Jolicloud released version 1.1 in December 2010.The new version was based on Ubuntu 10.04LTS(Lucid),with future patches planned from 10.10(Maverick) among improvements claimed by the company were faster boot times on most device tested.15 percent battery life improvements and support for all PCs.
Jolicloud released 1.2 in march 2011 and renamed Joli OS.The new version 1.2 featured a new boot screen,auto and guest mode log-ins,a local file system integrated with in the desktop,remote access to the desktop from any HTML5 capable browser and support for latest chromium 10 browser and Flash 10.2.Version 1.2 also include Dropbox integration.
